A comedy talent scout hired a friend of mine to perform on a cruise to Jamaica.
So I asked if I could get a job too.
And the scout said yes, I could gnaw barnacles off the side of the ship.
That didn’t sound too tasty, so I asked if he knew of any cruises on land.
But he said no.
And I can accept that he said no, but what hurt was, he didn’t even check.
He just said no, right off the top of his head. As if he knew where all the cruises were going.
He could’ve at least pretended to check.
